I don't believe in complaining about my boss. If I decide to sell my time, I shouldn't expect everything to be perfect and easy. Most of America hates their supervisors, and there's nothing original in telling people about it until they don't want to be around you any more. I'm not going to complain any more about my boss here.
I'm just going to say that I did get the NEW job I applied for in the same department, and I have a NEW supervisor whom I've worked under before and who is wonderful and I'll be working MUCH closer to home so instead of an hour and a half commute I have a half hour commute every morning. The only dark spot is that my old supervisor (this is not complaining, really ...) who told me at the end of February that I was fired now screams that I'm vitally important and completely irreplaceable and I can't start my new job until she finds someone to take my old one. My new boss is being really cool and understanding about it, but she shouldn't have to be. I went through all the official channels and did everything I was supposed to do, and two weeks notice should be plenty. It's already been three weeks since she was told I was leaving, and she just BARELY posted the position yesterday.
Anyway, SOMEday I'll have a good job at a good location with a good supervisor. Someday soon. And someday when it would be storytelling and NOT complaining about my supervisor I'll put in a couple of my favorite fun anecdotes about the woman. Oi.
