So, on the list of big disappointments in my life, we will now all add the movie "Dogma."
Yes, I know I'm a little behind the parade on this movie, but I just barely saw it for the first time this weekend when it was on Comedy Central. I was prepared to be scandalized, shocked, offended, grossed out, or morally outraged. Instead, I was just plain bored. It's a boring boring boring movie. Just plain uninteresting.
And no, it's not because it was too deep and I didn't 'get' it. Thanks for your concern, Daniels of the world. The script was okay, I guess, but the whole thing was poorly executed.
Any movie featuring Salma Hayak, George Carlin, Janeane Garafolo, Alan! Rickman! and Chris Rock with a special appearance by BEN AFFLECK as the EVIL WINGED BISHONEN has NO right to be as boring as this movie was.
And yet, I kept watching it.
